Enable Windows audit logging for sign-in attempts

Syspeace Service detects sign-in attempts by following the Windows Security event log. Windows only writes those events if logon auditing is turned on.

1. Open Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Local Security Policy.
2. In the tree on the left, select Security Settings → Local Policies → Audit Policy.
3. In the list on the right, double-click Audit logon events.
4. Check both the Success and Failure checkboxes, then save.

Servers joined to a domain may need this delivered through Group Policy instead of the local security policy.

Once auditing is enabled, continue with Verifying a downloaded installer checksum, then Install Syspeace Service and Console.
